This is terrific. And that's not just my moon fetish talking.

Or is it Mars? Still terrific.

I was thinking Mars. Tall Thin Green Men...and of course their Dogs. Or Ogds as they are known on Mars.

When's that Moonshot book coming out?? I want it.

Matt,
Thank you so much for your time and effort at SCBWI Fall Philly. I was inspired by your talk...and your gracefulness with the computer! LOL!

Thank you for your passion. My kids loved their books!

Matthew, Emily and Izaiah thank you, too!

Hi Matt,

It was so nice meeting you this weekend! And it's great to see your work in progress on this blog. I LOVE your roly-poly pigeon sketches! I can almost envision an illustrated re-enactment of that historic Bert/Pigeon checkers game you mentioned...

Cheers,

Vicki

Thanks, everybody! Vicki, it was great hanging out with you at the conference and your blog has been bookmarked (great stuff!). It was nice to meet you MSOS, and i'm very happy the kids like the books!

Wow, I just love all of your work here. You create such believable worlds with so few pen/pencil strokes. Your illustrations are a sketchbook come to life - I'm constantly trying to retain the expressive line of my sketches in my final art. So glad you have a blog - hooray!
